Director, Research
Mrs. Amuoquando is the Director of Research, Statistics and Information Management at the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice. She leads the generation, analysis, and management of data to inform evidence-based policy and decision-making within the justice sector. Her role includes coordinating research initiatives, maintaining statistical databases, and ensuring accurate information flow to support planning, monitoring, and evaluation. With strong expertise in research and information management, Mrs. Amuoquando contributes significantly to the Ministry’s goal of enhancing transparency, efficiency, and innovation in justice delivery.
ABOUT THE DIRECTORATE
The function of the Research, Statistics and Information and Management (RSIM) is to create and maintain a databank of information on the sector for policy formulation and decision-making through the collection and analysis of data, research and documentation. In addition, the directorate perform the following functions;

- Commissions or carries out research and statistical studies to monitor and evaluate impact of sector policies and programmes.
- Promote the use of Management Information Systems and Information Communication and Technology System and for a quicker transformation of the operations and activities of the Ministry and its sector agencies.
- Project the image of the Legal/justice Sector both within and outside the country by disseminating information through its Public Relations and Information Unit on government policies, activities, procedures and provides a avenue of feedback to the government and the general public on the impact of government policies and the general performance of the sector.
- Establish information data base for management decision making.

Research and Statistics Unit
It collates research outputs into the activities of the Ministry. It also ensures that requisite data is available for policy decision-making and development of legislations.
Management Information and Statistics Unit
It Initiates and maintains information technology network and infrastructure for the Ministry. It also develops supports and integrates new technologies into the operations of the Ministry. The Unit regularly analyse and update the database (soft) of the Ministry for decision-making.
Documentation & Library Unit
The unit is responsible for the Library and collates the required information for the Ministry. The unit disseminate the research and statistics outputs to the public.
