Director, General Administration Profile
Mr. Raynold Quarshie is the Director of General Administration at the Office of the Attorney-General and Ministry of Justice. He is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the Ministry and ensuring the smooth functioning of its departments and units. His role includes coordinating logistics, supervising support services, and managing administrative systems to promote efficiency and accountability. With a strong background in public administration and management, Mr. Quarshie provides the institutional support necessary for the effective delivery of the Ministry’s mandate.
About General Administration
The Directorate ensures that approved personnel policies of the Ministry on employment, personnel records, conditions of service, wages and salary administration are translated into good management practices.
The Directorate is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Ministry including transport, secretarial, records management, security, estates management and client services.
The Directorate also provides administrative, managerial, logistical and maintenance support services to ensure the attainment of organizational goals.

Personnel Unit
The unit manages the files and records of staff in the ministry pertaining to recruitment, leave, promotion, salary issues, transfer, performance appraisal etc.
Estates / Facilities Unit
This unit provides advice on estate management issues and ensures that repairs and works on facilities and equipment are properly carried out in the Ministry. The unit is also responsible for ensuring the safety of all staff and property of the Ministry.
Transport Unit
The unit is responsible for the proper management and provision of an efficient transport system of the Ministry.
Protocol Unit
The Unit is responsible for preparing programmes, arranging visits and making appointments for guests including foreign dignitaries. The Unit is also responsible for receiving diplomats and other guests and escorting them to participate in ceremonies for diplomatic credentials. The Unit handles matters concerning official travels, arranges logistics for the Ministry’s functions, as well as deal with matters of hospitality.
Stores Unit
The unit manage and control inventories in the most effective manner with the aim of achieving value for money. The unit also formulates strategies to undertake quantification and forecasting of supply needs of the institution. They ensure the verification and accuracy of requisition, receive and inspect orders, resolve order problems with vendors, evaluate supply needs, turnover rates, cost, perishability, hazardous nature of goods and storage limitations.
