Hon. Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine (MP), Attorney -General & Minister for Justice
Honorable Dr. Dominic Akuritinga Ayine was born on 6th of January 1966 in Zuarungu, in the Upper East Region of Ghana. He is currently the Attorney General and Minister for Justice of the Republic of Ghana and serves also as the Member of Parliament for the Bolgatanga East Constituency. He has been a member of the Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Parliaments of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
Hon. Ayine holds a Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Ghana and was called to the Ghana Bar in 1995 after completing his professional legal training at the Ghana School of Law. He further pursued postgraduate studies in the United States, earning an LLM in International Economic Law from the University of Michigan Law School in 1998. He later obtained a second LLM in International Trade Law from Stanford University Law School in 2003, and subsequently completed a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) in Trade and Democracy from Stanford in 2006.A distinguished academic and legal practitioner, Hon. Ayine brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his role.
His expertise in international economic and trade law, coupled with his deep understanding of democratic governance, underpins his commitment to upholding the rule of law and ensuring justice delivery in Ghana.
