Profile

Mr. Suleiman Ahmed was born in Tamale. He had his secondary education at the Tamale Senior Secondary School where he sat for the Ordinary Level (O level) and Advanced Level Certificates (A Level).

Mr. Suleiman Ahmed had his Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Ghana, Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration at GIMPA, MBA in Human Resource Management at the University of Ghana. He is a Barrister as well as Solicitor and a member of the Ghana Bar Association

Mr. Suleiman Ahmed started his career as a Public Servant in 1989 where he was appointed as an Assistant Director IIB posted to the Upper East Regional Coordinating Council. He was later posted to the Bawku West District Assembly. Mr. Ahmed after fourteen years of service in the Upper East Region was posted to the erstwhile Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. He was appointed the Ag. Chief Director for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney-General’s Department in 2009 and confirmed as the substantive Chief Director for the Ministry in 2014.

Mr. Ahmed has served in various capacities in his professional career from being the Returning Officer for the successful conduct of the 1992 Presidential elections in the Bawku Central Constituency, to being a member of the Advisory Board of the Public Participation in Local Government (PPLG) from 2002-2013.
