In a bid to foster stronger diplomatic ties and boost economic relations between South Africa and Ghana, Her Excellency Ms. Grace Jeanet Mason, the South African High Commissioner to Ghana, paid a courtesy call on the Attorney- General and Minister for Justice on Friday 13th October, 2023 at his Office during which she disclosed the free-entry visa initiative by her government.
According to her, the initiative is aimed at facilitating the movement of people between South Africa and Ghana, promote tourism, businesses, and cultural exchanges .
Her Excellency Mason added that the free-entry visa program will not only enhance tourism but also foster deeper connections between the two nations, ensure collaboration and support for each other at the bilateral and multilateral levels.
The Attorney General and Minister for Justice Hon Godfred Yeboah Dame on his part,expressed delight over the longstanding and harmonious relationship between the two nations and welcomed the free-entry visa program.
He emphasized that it will not only boost the economies of the two nations but also promote people-to-people interactions, which are the bedrock of strong diplomatic relations.
