
The Attorney-General and Minister for Justice, Hon.Godfred Yeboah Dame, has called on all Attorneys at the Office of the Attorney-General to be industrious and ensure cooperation among themselves when discharging their duties. He said this at a maiden meeting with Principal, Senior and Assistant State Attorneys at the Teacher’s Hall in Accra.

He indicated that, working at the A-G’s Office provides a broad spectrum of experience in all spheres of the law and as such Attorneys ought to take advantage of the opportunity to serve diligently and endeavour to come up with superior submissions in court. He added that, in discharging their onerous duty under Article 88 of the Constitution, it was incumbent on Attorney’s to be standard bearers in the legal profession.
Hon. Dame encouraged Attorneys not to be hesitant in expressing their views and concerns as his doors are open at all times to them. The Minister however urged Attorneys to be industrious and diligent in the discharge of their duties as their reputation was anchored on their output and the good work they do as Lawyers.
The Hon A-G underscored the urgent need to ensure better working conditions for staff of the Ministry. He therefore assured them of Government’s committed to ensuring the completion of the Law House Project by middle of 2022.
The Minister also hinted of award packages which will be instituted for Attorneys who excel in handling crucial cases for the State.
Earlier, the Minister met with Chief State Attorneys as well as the Divisional Heads of the Ministry.
Dignitaries present at the meeting were the Chief Director of the Ministry, Suleiman Ahmed, Director, General Administration Mr. Raynold Quarshie, Senior State Attorney, Yvonne Bannerman, Personal Assistant to the Minister and Public Relation Officers of the Ministry.
